    How the plan is ordered

    Six rings, from you outward.

Tactics fail most often because they run too early: ads that send people to a profile with four reviews, or postcards that point at a website with no way to book. Your plan works outward from you, because the closer the ring, the cheaper and faster the lead. Your place is marked from your Foundations check.

Two more numbers for the keep-and-bring-back tactics. In a 2025 Litmus survey of about 500 marketers, 35% reported earning $10 to $36 for every $1 spent on email and another 35% reported more than $36. Those figures are self-reported by marketers, so a small shop should expect a wide range. And in Nielsen's global trust survey, 92% of consumers said they trust recommendations from people they know, more than any form of advertising.
