Bookkeeping in 20 Minutes a Week, Even If You Hate Numbers

From shoebox of receipts to a simple weekly system

  • When: Wednesday, November 25, 2026
  • Time: 12:00 pm–1:00 pm ET
  • Where: Online on Google Meet
  • Cost: Free, no camera needed

You'll leave with

  • A 20-minute weekly money routine in five steps, with a set day, a timer and the same order every week
  • Ten simple spending categories that cover most service businesses, so every receipt has a place to land
  • How to catch unpaid invoices and charges you forgot about before they turn into a year-end surprise
  • One fix under 30 minutes: open a free folder called Receipts on your phone, snap this week's receipts into it and put a 20-minute block on your calendar for the same time every week.

Receipts pile up in the glovebox, invoices wait for the follow-up you meant to send, and you check the bank balance with one eye closed, until once a year a whole weekend goes to sorting it all out for your accountant.

This free 60-minute Build-Along swaps that for one short routine. Together we set up a simple weekly money sheet, name the ten spending categories that fit your business and enter this week's numbers live. You'll see who owes you, what went out and what's in the bank, all in about 20 minutes a week.

You leave with the template filled in and a recurring time on your calendar. Cameras off, no software to buy, and everyone who registers gets the recording.

Who it's for

Owners who do their own books (or avoid them) and only look at the numbers when the accountant asks, from plumbers to stylists to massage therapists.

Bring

  • Your business bank or card app, logged in
  • Last week's receipts (paper, email or photos, any mess is fine)
  • A list of who owes you money right now, even a rough one
  • A laptop or tablet so you can copy the spreadsheet template during the session
